All apprenticeship Standards now involve an end-point assessment. This is a synoptic, overarching assessment of the Standard that must be carried out by someone that is independent of the apprentice’s training.
How apprentices are to be assessed is described in the Assessment Plans that accompany the Standards. End point assessments may involve a number of different methods of assessment, and the way in which an apprentice is assessed can vary across different apprenticeship Standards.

The levy is a tax that was introduced in April 2017 as part of the Government’s apprenticeship reforms. The tax applies to UK employers with a pay bill of over £3million, of which they are taxed 0.05%
The levy paid by employers is topped up 10% by the Government (so for every £1 they pay, they have £1.10 in their levy pot). This money can only be spent on apprenticeships, otherwise it may be lost. If you are a levy paying employer, contact us for advice and guidance.
